Join us at our October WOCAN monthly meeting where Subaru of America will be hosting a special “Coffee Talk” on “code switching”.

A coffee talk allows for perspective-sharing and perspective-hearing. Our differences enrich all of us, at least all of us who are willing to have an open mind, an open heart, and open ears. Those of us who are willing to listen and to challenge our own objectivity, grow from recognizing the differences in our interactions. 

The coffee talk resembles a book club setting where attendees read an article or watch a TedTalk prior to the event and come prepared to engage in a rich dialogue with their peers. This meeting will feature a discussion on the article “The Costs of Code-Switching” moderated by Dr. Monica Curry, Ed.D, Manager, Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion for Subaru of America.
